Support: If you do a Google search for "Google tried to deliver your message", you will find thousands of reports on how GMAIL fails to send mail to other servers as well. gmail.com has a problem. Most reports that gmail.com is rejected by all hotmail accounts etc. We have tried to open our ports to help this problem but not all gmail fails.

Ida: Setting Up Outlook Express Email Program
Open Outlook Express.
If a wizard starts, then go to option 7.
1] Click Tools on the menu bar.
2] Click Accounts in the Tools menu
3] Click on the Mail tab.
4] Click Add.
5] Click Mail in the Internet Accounts box.
6] Complete the following fields in the Internet Connection Wizard window:
7] Display Name - The name that will display on an email sent (This can be anything you wish).
8] Email Address - The email address that will display on an email sent using this account.
9] Reply Address - The email address to which replies will be sent. (Leave Blank if it is the same)
10] Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - The mail server from which email for this profile is to be retrieved.
mail.heartoftn.net
11] Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - The mail server through which email sent using this profile will go.
mail.heartoftn.net
12] Account Name - The account name that you have been assigned to access your email. It must be the same as your email address.
13] Password - must be all small letters (lowercase)
14] Click the Box for: My server requires authentication
15] All the other default settings should work fine.
16] Click OK on the Internet Accounts box and then Finish!
You have completed the Internet Connection Wizard.

Support: Solution First make sure you are connected to the Internet. Does your web browser work? If you have not changed anything since the last time you checked / sent mail, do not adjust your settings simply close Outlook Express, reopen it and try again later. If this has not resolved your problem you need to check your Outlook Express settings, making sure that the POP3 and SMTP servers are correct, and that your full user name and password are correct. Then test your connection by following this procedure. Click the Start button then RUN type in cmd on (Windows NT/2000/XP) or Command (Windows 95/98/ME). This will open a new command prompt window, with white text on a black screen. Type in the following exactly as it appears. You will not see what you are entering so take it slowly, and if you make a mistake, start again. telnet news.heartoftn.net 110 and then click the Enter key on your keyboard. You will then be connected to the email server. Type in USER followed by your email address e.g. USER johnsm@heartoftn.net and then click the Enter key. You will then get a message +OK Please enter your password, with the PASS command Type in PASS followed by your password e.g. PASS pw12345etc and click the Enter key. If it is correct, you will get an OK Well done message. If you can do this, you have connected to the Mail server and so the problem lies somewhere with Outlook Express. If you can't get in this way either, it could be that your password has somehow become corrupted. Try changing it in Mail Manager on our home page. Try again. If this does not resolve your problem are you running anti virus software or firewalls? If so disable them and try again. If the problem has vanished, configuration of these products could be the problem, particularly if they are set to automatically scan incoming and outgoing email. NOTE: Windows XP has a firewall built into the operating system which you can disable by selecting there too and try again. If this does not resolve the problem try Clicking on Start then Run then type in cmd On the screen which opens, type in netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt If this does not resolve the problem, Call for help. Support: The following steps will remove any password set in the Internet Explorer Content Advisor and allow you to reset the program to its original state.

1) Click on Start and choose Run.
2) Type in RegEdit and select OK.
3) Now click on the little plus sign to the left of H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
4) Continue to drill down, always clicking on the plus sign at the left of the named key, through Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version and Policies.
5) Now click on the Ratings folder.
6) In the right pane of the RegEdit window, you will see an icon called Key. Click on it and press Delete.
7) Next, choose Registry and then Exit to exit RegEdit. You have just deleted your original Content Advisor password.
8) Restart the computer and run Internet Explorer again.
9) Choose View and then Internet Options (or Options for version 3.x). For IE 5 or greater, Click on Tools, Internet Options.
10) Click on the Content tab and click on Disable. When asked for a password, don't enter anything; just click on OK. This will disable Content Advisor because there's no longer a password. If not then enter a new password and try again.

Support: To add the Email Icon to the Top of you Windows Vista Internet Explorer, just click on Tools at the top right on your icon bar. Select Toolbars and then select Customize. In the left window, select Email then click Add. Then to the right of thr right window, click on Move Up until the email icon is below your home icon. Now it will be displayed on your Icon Bar of IE. Support: The pulsating dial tone may be an indicator that you have voice mail waiting in your mailbox at your phone company. Try clearing out your voicemail and you should get a solid dial tone you can connect with. (02/19/07)

You can select all messages or a few and delete them all at once. The messages you leave here are still on the server, you may then download them to your computer with your mail program. (01/28/07)

Support: Yes, many times a email may hang up while your email packet is being downloaded. Since it did not complete the download the same messages are sent again until the download is successful. The best way to fix this problem is to login to our Webmail program from our home page.

You can then delete the bad email or any others on the server. When you finish go back to your email program, Outlook Express and all the mail should pass onto your system. (01/15/07)

Support: Not sure why, unless a new Web Browser has been loaded or you have changed your Home Page or even yet, some program or Web Page you have visited has made the changes for you.

Jan: Since INot only do I have you as my main server; I also get Yahoo mail. My problem is I have accumilated thousands of e-mails. I know I can delete them, one at a time, but with this many is there a quicker way to totally erase it all at once? (01/28/07)

Support: We have found 2 reasons this might happen.
1.) If you are running a Accelerator program, stop the Accelerator and try the Web Page again. (If you are using our Accelerator program, just Right Click on the Ball Icon in the bottom right corner of your screen and click on stop.
2.) If you are running a Anti-Virus program try stopping the program just for a check. You may have to reset your virus program or reinstall it for a permanent fix. (06/13/06)

Support: The most common cause for this timeout is Anti-virus programs. When using Outlook or Outlook Express, your e-mail program thinks that it's sending the mail to the server, however the Anti-virus software grabs it, scans it, and it eventually connects to the server. You can try to temporarily turn off your Outbound virus checking and test it. I have run several test with a large file and got the same results. I turned off the outbound virus checking for my e-mail and the problem went away.
Our email server checks all e-mails for viruses, so it should catch any infected file you are tiring to send. (01/26/06)

Support: If you are using Avast, right click on the Avast ball in the bottom right corner (System Tray) and choose On-Access at the top of the pop up menu. Then click on Internet Mail under Installed Providers. Then select Customize and the SMTP Tab. Unselect; Scan Outbound Mail. Then click OK back out of the program. (02/02/06)

Support: It sounds like you may have a home page hijacker program on your system. Using a program like Microsoft's AntiSpyware, you may be able to clean the program from your system and allow you to set your home page address. There are many different types of these hijackers and many different ways to remove each one. A antispyware removal tool like the one above is the simplest way to resolve the problem. (12/04/05)

Support: When you receive email first, you actually login to our server to fetch your email. Our server knows who you are and will allow you to send email. If you try to send email without first receiving email there is no login so our server will not allow you to send. To Fix this problem just open Outlook Express and click on Tools, Then click on Accounts. Select the Mail Tab, Click on Properties, Select the Servers Tab and then check the box [ ] next to My server requires authentication. Click Apply and then close back out of the program. This forces a login when you send email and will allow it to pass. (11/19/05)

Support: If you are not getting connected, first try a shutdown and then turn your computer off. You only need to do this once. A full power down may be the only way to reset your modem. (11/13/05)

Support @ HOT: You can upload your picture as a Jpeg and a name of your_profile.jpg to overwrite the default or you can edit the template.htm file and change the "your_profile.jpg" to mypicture.gif if this is the name of the uploaded picture.
